My name is Joanne Dalton and I am a graphic designer based in Surrey. I graduated from
London Guildhall University in 1999 with a BA honours in Design Studies. During the course I had the opportunity to work on all kinds of design, and in my final year I specialised in Graphic Design.
After leaving University I did graphic design projects on a casual basis, designing promotional material for local voluntary organisations, a work placement at Dennis Publishing and temporary design positions. I have gradually built up my experience and my most recent position was at Cactus Event services for over 3 years producing conference and event signage.
Other companies I have worked for include LB Lewisham and Balfour Beatty. My design experience up to this point has been mainly print based.
Since my position at Cactus Events finished I have been working on freelance projects and have taken the time to broaden my skills with some website design. I recently completed a course and am enjoying using these skills in my work. In the future I hope to gain more experience in web and flash design.
I’m looking forward to working on a lot more design projects in the future both print and web design based.
